Mainframe Developer

Your Role

Agile Participation

• Actively participate in Sprint Planning, Sprint Retrospectives, and Daily Stand‑up meetings.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high‑quality deliverables within sprint timelines.

Decommissioning Activities

• Extract proposed and approved jobs for decommissioning from the customer provided tool.

• Analyse and identify resources to be decommissioned using defined strategies.

• Prepare and present decommissioning artefacts to ITSOs and obtain formal decommission sign‑off.

• Create change requests & documents required for the decommission process.

• Execute final decommission activities post soft decommission, following approval processes.

Development & Enhancement

• Perform coding, unit testing, and support QA/UAT testing efforts.

• Resolve QA / UAT defects within required timelines.

• Drive implementation and perform production checkout for enhancement releases.

• Ensure proper documentation and adherence to development and release standards.

Post‑Implementation Support

• Provide hypercare and support after production deployment.

• Troubleshoot and resolve post‑implementation issues as needed.

Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

• Work collaboratively with team members, architects, testers, and stakeholders.

• Participate in knowledge‑sharing sessions and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent.

• Must possess at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Natural and ADABAS development

• Strong hands‑on experience in Natural and Adabas.

• Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, and mainframe utilities.

• Understanding of batch processing and job flows.

• Ability to analyse mainframe resource usage and job dependencies.

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

• Detail‑oriented with strong documentation skills.
