Database Engineer

Your Role

• Design, develop, and maintain relational and non-relational database systems
• Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and storage management
• Implement data backup, recovery, and archiving strategies
• Collaborate with software developers, data analysts, and DevOps teams to integrate databases with applications
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues proactively
• Automate routine database tasks using scripting and tools
• Document database schemas, processes, and best practices

Your Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Proven experience with database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, or MongoDB
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with database design and normalization
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL)
• Experience with data modeling tools and ETL processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
