The Capgemini Technical Lead is responsible for the technical delivery of their technology area, to the Operations Lead and Client
Important - This role is an onsite position with a need to be on client site 5 days per week (Monday-Friday) in Knowsley, you will also facilitate Smart Hands and On-Call services, including obtaining IPAF Operator certification to be able to safely work at height.
If you are successfully offered this position, you will go through a series of pre-employment checks, including identity, nationality (single or dual) or immigration status, employment history going back 3 continuous years, and unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service).
Your role
- Own the senior technical delivery of Digital Workplace Service overall, ensuring a successful and high-quality service provision.
- Manage escalations, issues, roadblocks and strategy for the technology.
- Ensure that SLA targets are met in technology discipline.
- Provide the technical lead role and assist the teams during investigations into incidents, problems, changes or any other issues with these services.
- Support the ITIL functions to ensure a fully functioning service.
- Manage the costs of these services to ensure efficiency and quality delivery to our clients.
For these teams:
- Lead technical engineers as part of a team. There are no direct people responsibilities, rather technical leadership is expected.
- Act as escalation point for complex issues and challenges to support wider teams and engineers.
Other:
- Work across a variety of accounts to ensure standardisation in line with Capgemini governance and approaches.
- Provide subject matter expert support both on and off account as required.

Your skills and experience
- Experienced in Technical Leadership
- Technically astute in Digital Workplace services (e.g. SCCM, M365, SOE etc)
- ITIL Qualified (preferred)
- An in-depth knowledge and good understanding of Microsoft Windows OS (Windows 11 & Windows 10), including build, configuration and registry settings is required, along with a level of proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience handling LTSC Channels and KIOSK is highly desirable
- Basic level understanding in SCCM/Active Directory and a working knowledge of IT service models
- Networks experience to include an understanding of LAN/WAN/vLAN and Wi-Fi technologies, DHCP, DNS/WINS, PXE and VPN/remote connectivity
- An appreciation of the Microsoft Exchange environment, email client configuration, MS Outlook, instant messaging tools, along with general etiquette
