Job Title: Regulatory Reporting Business Analyst
Location: Knutsford/Manchester
Role Overview
Detail-oriented and analytical Regulatory Reporting Business Analyst with experience in supporting the delivery, enhancement, and governance of regulatory reporting frameworks. Collaborates closely with Product Owners, Finance, Risk, Tax, Compliance, and Technology teams to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant regulatory submissions. Focused on driving process improvements, strengthening controls, and enabling automation initiatives.
Hybrid working:
The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.
Your Role
Regulatory Reporting & Compliance
- Analyze and interpret regulatory requirements such as CRS, FATCA, FSCS, and other emerging regulations.
- Translate regulatory obligations into clear business and functional specifications.
- Ensure reporting processes adhere to internal governance standards and external regulatory requirements.
- Support regulatory change implementation and ensure readiness for new regulations.
Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering
- Engage with stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business requirements.
- Produce high-quality deliverables including:
- Business capabilities
- User stories
- Data mapping documents
- Process flows and workflows
- Bridge gaps between business needs and technical solutions.
Data Analysis & Reconciliation
- Investigate and resolve data discrepancies across multiple source systems.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and root cause analysis.
- Support implementation of data lineage, data quality frameworks, and control mechanisms.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of regulatory reporting data.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as a key liaison between business, technology, and regulatory teams.
- Facilitate workshops, requirement sessions, and stakeholder meetings.
- Communicate complex regulatory and technical concepts in a clear, structured, and business-friendly manner.
- Build strong relationships to ensure alignment and effective delivery.
