PLM Technical Architect
Your role
As a PLM Technical Architect, you will play a key role in translating business requirements, engineering processes and functional specifications into robust, scalable technical solutions. Working closely with consultants, architects, developers and client stakeholders, you will design and define Teamcenter and NX solutions that maximise standard product capabilities, support business objectives, and deliver long-term maintainability and value.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate client requirements into detailed Teamcenter and NX technical designs, producing clear documentation for configuration and development teams.
- Design and specify Teamcenter and NX solution components, including data models, workflows, access controls, CAD data management, templates, integrations and release processes.
- Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, developers and client SMEs to define solution approaches and resolve technical design challenges.
- Provide technical leadership throughout build, test and deployment activities, reviewing solutions against agreed designs and supporting issue resolution.
- Identify technical risks, promote best practice design standards, and contribute to reusable frameworks, accelerators and delivery methodologies across Siemens PLM projects.
Your profile
We are seeking an experienced PLM Technical Architect with a strong background in PLM solution design within engineering and manufacturing environments. You'll be able to translate complex business and technical requirements into practical, scalable solutions, combining deep product knowledge with strong stakeholder management and problem-solving skills. You will be comfortable working across multidisciplinary teams and making design decisions that balance business value, technical feasibility and long-term maintainability.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience designing and implementing Siemens Teamcenter and/or NX solutions, with a strong understanding of engineering, manufacturing, change management and product lifecycle processes.
- Strong knowledge of Teamcenter and NX architecture and configuration, including areas such as BMIDE, workflows, access management, classification, CAD templates, attributes, standards and Teamcenter integration.
- Ability to interpret business requirements, process maps and functional specifications, translating them into clear technical designs, configuration specifications and implementation guidance.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and collaboration skills, with experience working alongside architects, business analysts, developers, testers and client teams in agile delivery environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the confidence to challenge unnecessary complexity and promote scalable, maintainable solutions that maximise out-of-the-box Siemens PLM functionality.
