HVAC, Fluids & Heating Systems Engineer - Broughton site

Your Role

We are seeking a versatile ans experienced HVAC/Fluids/Heating Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in all phases of design, from feasibility studies to detailed design, and possess strong on-site experience. This role requires the ability to conduct site surveys, interface effectively with construction teams, and collaborate with other disciplines during the design phase. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct feasibility studies, including technical and economic assessments for HVAC and fluid systems. 
  • Develop Basic Design Packages, including P&IDs, system descriptions, and equipment specifications. 
  • Produce Detailed Design documentation, including drawings, calculations, and Bills of Quantities. 
  • Perform site visits to gather information, assess existing conditions, and verify design implementation. 
  • Liaise with site teams to provide technical support, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with design intent. 
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (e.g., structural, electrical, process) to ensure seamless integration of HVAC and fluid systems.  
  • Perform calculations for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and fluid distribution systems. 
  • Select and specify HVAC equipment and components. 
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations. 
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations. 

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. 
  • Proven experience in HVAC, fluid systems, and heating systems design. 
  • Demonstrated experience across feasibility, Basic Design, and Detailed Design stages. 
  • Strong understand of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer principles. 
  • Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP, TRNSYS). 
  • Excellent knowledge of industry codes and standards (e.g., ASHARE, CIBSE, local regulations). 
  • Significant field experience, including site surveys and construction support. 
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and site personnel. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
