Job Title: Devops Engineer

About the Job you are considering:

We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and manage scalable infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. This role focuses on automation, cloud adoption, and seamless deployment processes to support modern application development and delivery.

Hybrid working:

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your Role:

  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for application build, testing, and deployment.
  • Automate development, integration, and deployment workflows to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Support migration of existing applications to cloud platforms and build cloud-native applications.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts for infrastructure provisioning and deployment.
  • Manage and support complex, multi-tier infrastructure environments across cloud and on-premises systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify improvements and drive DevOps best practices.
  • Ensure smooth delivery of infrastructure changes from development through production.
  • Provide support for test environments, including setup, maintenance, and issue resolution.
  • Work with diverse technology stacks including Linux, Windows, databases, networks, and middleware.

Your Skills:

  • Strong expertise in scripting and automation using Shell, Python, Perl, Chef, and similar tools.
  • Proven experience in build engineering and deployment automation, including managing end-to-end CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, Git, Nexus, SonarQube, JIRA, TeamCity, and Nolio.
  • Solid experience with containerization and cloud technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and AWS.
  • Strong proficiency in Jenkins-based CI/CD pipeline management.
  • Experience deploying and configuring application servers (e.g., JBoss, Spring Boot).
  • Good understanding of microservices architecture and API development.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure components, including servers, databases, networking, and middleware.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory (AD) integration, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as AppDynamics, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), and Splunk.
  • Understanding of code quality and security tools like SonarQube.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated mindset of continuous improvement, automation, and operational efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
