Mechanical Design Engineer

Your role

As a Mechanical Design Engineer at Capgemini Engineering, you will work on exciting product development projects within the retail industry. Based on your background and experience, you'll contribute to various ongoing projects at our client location, while being part of our growing team of mechanical design experts.

In this role you will play a key role in:

  • Managing daily client contact and taking responsibility for the execution of assignments from concept to finished product, including product testing, certification, and reliability testing
  • Contributing to our in-house team for full-scale project deliveries in the retail sector
  • Being a central part of our cross-functional team and taking responsibility for implementations and goals in our projects
  • Applying your technical expertise to develop innovative mechanical design solutions that meet client requirements

Note: Your local office will be in Malmö, but you need to be able to travel to client location in Älmhult 2-3 times a week.

Your profile

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in product development as a Mechanical Design Engineer or other relevant background
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks or other CAD tools
  • Experience within Consumer Products and PLM (PTC Windchill preferred)
  • Fluent in English and holding an EU work permit, with ability to quickly relocate to Sweden
