Mainframe Engineer (COBOL / DB2 / Telecom)

Your role
You will be part of a team maintaining and enhancing core mainframe systems supporting key telecom services. The role involves end-to-end delivery responsibility- from understanding business needs to implementation and ongoing support- helping ensure stable, scalable solutions that support millions of customers.
Your project
You will work within a distributed delivery team focused on evolving large-scale mainframe applications. The project covers continuous improvement, system integrations, and support of critical business processes.
Your tasks
- develop and maintain mainframe applications;
- participate in full software lifecycle delivery;
- analyze business processes and implement changes;
- collaborate with cross-functional teams;
- perform testing (system, integration, regression);
- support releases and production activities;
- prepare technical documentation;
- work with DB2 and SQL data.
Your profile
- strong experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, IMS-DB, TSO/ISPF;
- familiarity with tools: SORT, Changeman, SPUFI, Linux;
- understanding of telecom processes;
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- ability to work independently and collaboratively;
- good communication skills;
- experience with full SDLC;
- English B2+.
