About the role

We are seeking a Technical Lead – Data Engineering to join our team in Madrid or Barcelona and lead the design and implementation of scalable data solutions. This position involves managing a team of data engineers, defining best practices in data architecture, and ensuring high-quality delivery for enterprise-level projects.

Your profile

  • At least 7 years of experience in data engineering, including 2+ years in a technical leadership role.
  • Strong expertise in Python, SQL, Spark, and ETL frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, data lakes, and data warehouses.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (Spanish is a plus).
  • Experience mentoring and guiding engineering teams.
  • Ability to collaborate with Data Scientists, Cloud Architects, and Business Analysts.
  • Commitment to data security and governance standards.

Certifications

  • Azure Data Engineer Associate or AWS Big Data Specialty.
  • ITIL or Agile/Scrum certifications.
