Sr Architect & Delivery Lead

We are seeking a Senior Data Architect & Delivery Lead with strong expertise in cloud data engineering, legacy-to-cloud migrations, and multi-team technical leadership. The role combines hands-on architectural design, project and people management, and strategic delivery oversight in a large-scale, multi-vendor environment.


Key Responsibilities


Technical Leadership

  • Design and validate cloud-native data architectures using AWS data services.
  • Analyze and decompose complex Informatica PowerCenter workflows and Oracle data models for cloud migration.
  • Define technical roadmaps, drive architectural decision records, and promote best practices aligned with industry frameworks.
  • Prototype migration patterns, review code and infrastructure, and troubleshoot advanced technical issues.
  • Serve as owner of the technical stack including PySpark, AWS Glue/EMR, Informatica PowerCenter, Apache Iceberg, Terraform, Oracle/SQL, and Python.

Project & Team Management

  • Lead agile delivery processes including planning cycles, sprint ceremonies, and retrospectives.
  • Manage teams of 9–15 engineers across multiple countries and technical disciplines.
  • Communicate with stakeholders at various levels and maintain alignment across internal and external teams.
  • Identify and resolve risks, dependencies, and blockers across workstreams.
  • Ensure high-quality deliverables that meet defined technical and delivery standards.

 

Strategic Program Governance

  • Manage evolving requirements, scope changes, and expectations across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Track delivery progress against milestones and support resource and timeline planning.
  • Coordinate with partner organizations and manage subcontractor contributions.
  • Provide comprehensive reporting to senior leadership and governance bodies.

Requirements

 

Technical Skills


•    Hands-on experience (3+ years) with Informatica PowerCenter in complex ETL environments.
•    Strong PySpark skills for production-grade data transformations.
•    Deep knowledge of AWS data services, including Glue, EMR, Redshift, S3, and Lake Formation.
•    Understanding of Apache Iceberg or similar modern data lake table formats.
•    Experience with Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform.
•    Strong SQL and data modeling skills; experience with Oracle is preferred.


Professional Experience


•    Led large-scale data migrations involving multiple systems and significant data volumes.
•    At least 5 years managing agile data engineering or analytics teams of 5–15 people.
•    Experience working within multi-vendor or subcontractor delivery models.
•    Background leading distributed, international teams.
•    Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.


Soft Skills


•    Strong English communication skills, written and verbal.
•    Proactive, solutions-oriented, and comfortable managing complex issues.
•    Collaborative approach and ability to build strong working relationships.
•    Comfortable working in dynamic environments with shifting priorities.
•    Confident presenting senior leadership and supporting technical decisions.


Preferred Qualifications


Technical


•    Experience with Google Cloud Platform or Azure.
•    Exposure to data quality frameworks and tools.
•    Familiarity with BI and analytics platforms (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).
•    Knowledge of DevOps practices such as CI/CD and GitHub Actions.
•    Experience with data governance or cataloging solutions.


Experience


•    Previous work with professional services or consulting teams.
•    Experience extracting or migrating data from SAP environments.
•    Background in enterprise data warehousing using dimensional modeling.
•    Understanding of manufacturing or supply chain data domains.


Certifications


•    AWS Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional).
•    SAFe, PRINCE2, or PMP certification.
