Senior Teamcenter Functional Consultant

The Digital Continuity & Manufacturing (DC&M) team at Capgemini Engineering specializes in providing strategic solutions for the digitalization of engineering and industrial processes, ensuring digital continuity throughout the entire product lifecycle from design to maintenance. We focus on optimizing operational efficiency and driving innovation through the integration of advanced technologies such as automation, industrial IoT, and digital twins, helping companies adapt quickly to the market and maintain a competitive edge.

 

The Senior Functional Consultant will provide expert consulting services for a strategic transformation initiative focused on standardizing and automating Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes. The role centers on Bill of Materials (BOM) management and Change Management across global operations, with emphasis on SAP-Teamcenter integration and end-to-end traceability.

Key Responsibilities

 

Lead implementation of validated Configure-to-Order Plus (CTO+) concepts into operational workflows for eBOM, mBOM, BOP, and sBOM.
Gathering requirements from multiple stakeholders, translating these into functional specifications
Drive improvements in Change Management processes, ensuring compliance with BOM concepts and effectivity management.
Support rollout of digital tools and configuration logic for BOM management.
Provide post-release support (Hypercare), stabilizing operations and preparing for future releases.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including service organizations and related project representatives.
Ensure E2E BOM connectivity through conceptual and solution development, technology/digital system development, and organizational change management.
Facilitate workshops and training sessions in Germany, Spain, and other European locations.
Maintain high standards of quality assurance, communication, and management planning.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

 

Expert Level in PLM strategy, BOM & Configuration Management, and Change Management.
Proven experience in large-scale industrial transformation programs, preferably in manufacturing or similar sectors.
Professional-level consulting experience with a track record of successful project delivery.
Experience working in agile frameworks.
Availability for weekly travel and participation in multiple workshops throughout the year.
Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written).
Ability to work collaboratively in multicultural and geographically dispersed teams.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

Experience in service operation and spare part management.
Familiarity with effectivity rules and digital tool deployment in engineering and manufacturing environments.
CM II certification
SAP-Teamcenter integration
