The Digital Continuity & Manufacturing (DC&M) team at Capgemini Engineering specializes in providing strategic solutions for the digitalization of engineering and industrial processes, ensuring digital continuity throughout the entire product lifecycle from design to maintenance. We focus on optimizing operational efficiency and driving innovation through the integration of advanced technologies such as automation, industrial IoT, and digital twins, helping companies adapt quickly to the market and maintain a competitive edge.
The Functional Testing Engineer supports the quality and reliability of digital solutions used in design and manufacturing environments. In this role, you will work with PLM solutions, contribute to testing activities, and help ensure systems meet business and user needs while developing your skills within a structured team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use your functional understanding of design tools and engineering processes (e.g. CATIA, 3DEXPERIENCE) to support functional testing, validation, and basic troubleshooting of PLM solutions.
- Help verify that system functionalities meet aerospace engineering processes and user requirements, with guidance from senior team members.
- Apply your engineering background to understand requirements, identify issues, and support validation activities.
- Support onboarding activities, such as helping prepare or deliver project presentations for new team members or stakeholders.
- Work as part of an Agile team, using Jira for task tracking, sprint activities, and day‑to‑day collaboration.
- Contribute to continuous improvement, actively participating in retrospectives and collaborating with other teams.
Mandatory Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience in a design role, ideally within the aerospace industry (including internships or graduate placements)
- User-level experience with CATIA
- Engineering degree (Aerospace, Mechanical, or a related discipline)
- English level B2 or higher, able to work in an international environment
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with 3D CAD design processes and engineering documentation
