What will be your role?
As a Data Analyst for the VMS Risk Score project, you will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing data from a growing ecosystem of security and IT resources to deliver actionable insights to stakeholders such as Service Managers, Resolution Groups, and Management.
You'll work with data from a variety of vulnerability scanners, endpoint security solutions, threat intelligence sources, and new sources for artifact management, attack surface analysis, code analysis, and configuration management. You translate this data into actionable reports and dashboards in visualization tools and offer support to team members in the use of these tools. Due to the urgent security needs, we are looking for a proactive analyst who can contribute quickly and support the future expansion of data sources.

Responsibilities:
- Data collection and processing: Extract and process data from existing scanning tools and new sources for vulnerability scanning and code analysis in Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Data analysis: Perform exploratory analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in vulnerability data, taking into account the new data sources.
- Reporting and visualization: Design and maintain dashboards that present the VMS Risk Score and insights from new sources to stakeholders, including automated ticket statuses.
- Data quality: Validate the accuracy and consistency of data in collaboration with the Data Owner, SS&E, and IT4Security, especially when integrating new sources.
- Stakeholder support: Support Service Managers and Resolution Groups with ad-hoc analytics and reporting to prioritize vulnerabilities and manage incident tickets.
- Automation: Develop automated data processing pipelines in Azure Synapse and other tools to increase efficiency, including automated ticket generation.
- Documentation: Document data analytics, reporting, integration processes, and procedures to ensure transparency, reusability, and future expansion.

To feel confortable in the position requires knowledge in/of:
- Advanced knowledge of SQL for data querying and manipulation in AzureSynapse Analytics.
- Experience with visualization tools for creating interactive dashboards and reports.
- Basic knowledge of Python or R for data analysis (e.g., pandas).
- Familiarity with data processing and ETL processes, including streaming platforms.
- Knowledge of IT and security data, such as vulnerability management, threat intelligence, code analysis, and configuration management.
- Experience: At least 2-4 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a security or IT environment.
- Strong analytical skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to communicate insights clearly to various stakeholders. - - Advanced English.
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Analytics, Information Technology, Statistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Pluses:
- Experience with cybersecurity tools and endpoint security solutions.
- Knowledge of service management tools or configuration management systems.
- Experience with ETL tools or cloud-based data processing solutions.
- Certifications like Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate.
