About project/role:

One of the multinational fast food restaurant chains in various markets.

The Senior Cloud Architect is a strategic technical leader responsible for designing, implementing, and governing enterprise-grade solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role supports a global organization by driving cloud transformation initiatives, standardizing platform architecture, and ensuring compliance across multiple business units.

The architect will lead complex migration efforts, define scalable and secure cloud-native architectures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technology with business objectives. Deep expertise in GCP services, enterprise architecture frameworks, and regulated industry standards is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement enterprise-grade cloud architectures using GCP services.
• Lead cloud migration strategies and execution for large-scale environments.
• Define and enforce cloud governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
• Architect multi-cloud and hybrid cloud solutions aligned with business needs.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, and business teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
• Develop landing zones, organizational structures, and advanced networking configurations.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and reliability.
• Present architectural strategies and roadmaps to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Experience:

• Minimum 7+ years in cloud architecture and enterprise IT solutions.
• Preferred 10+ years leading large-scale cloud transformation projects.
• Experience in regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare, government) is highly desirable.
• Advanced GCP Skills.
• Strong leadership and team management experience.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially with executive stakeholders.
• Business acumen with the ability to align technical solutions to business goals.
• Experience in vendor and stakeholder management.
• Consulting experience in client-facing roles is a plus.

Architecture & Design

• Proficiency in enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman).
• Strong understanding of cloud-native patterns, microservices, and API integration.
• Experience with multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments.
• Security architecture and compliance (SOX, PCI-DSS, GDPR).
• Data architecture and analytics platforms.

Platform & Infrastructure

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitOps methodologies.
• Container platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, Cloud Run) and serverless architectures.
• Advanced networking and security design.
• Disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Cloud cost optimization and FinOps practices.
• Proven migration planning and execution strategies.
• GCP Expertise 

Compute: GCE, GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions.
Storage & Databases: Cloud SQL, Spanner, Bigtable, Firestore, BigQuery.
Networking: VPC, Interconnect, Cloud DNS, Cloud Armor.
Security: IAM, Organization Policies, VPC Service Controls.
Analytics: BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Data Fusion.
