Azure Data Engineer (Ingestion/Integration, Ukraine)

Your Project

As part of the Data Enablement Factory team, you will be responsible for several data ingestions from different source systems into our Group Data Platform. You will be accountable for the overall delivery of end-to-end ingestion activities (including classification follow-up, lineage follow-up, and production incident management) for specific ingestions. You will be integrated into one product team, where the Product Owner will assign you ingestions. The role requires interacting with multiple stakeholders (both technical and non-technical) and providing regular progress reports on your ingestions as well as experience of ETL pipelines and DevOps.

  • Azure Data Factory (ADF) – including SSIS integration for ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Azure Databricks – for data engineering and advanced analytics
  • Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS) – for raw and curated data layers
  • Azure Synapse Analytics – for data warehousing and analytics
  • Azure SQL Managed Instance and Azure Database for PostgreSQL
  • Azure Machine Learning (AML) – for MLOps and ML model deployment
  • Azure Event Hub – for streaming ingestion
  • Azure DevOps – for CI/CD pipelines and automation
  • Power BI / QlikView / QlikSense – for visualization and reporting

Specific Tool Experience for Data Ingestion

  • Ingestion Framework: Custom ingestion framework built on Azure Data Factory and Databricks
  • Metadata-driven ingestion and data quality rule engines
  • Automation tools: ARM templates, Infrastructure-as-Code for Azure resources
  • Monitoring & Logging: Automated monitoring of ADF pipelines and ingestion jobs
  • Data Governance Tools: Integration with data classification and GDPR compliance (e.g., pseudonymization).
