About the Job you are considering:
We are seeking an Enterprise Data Modeller with strong wholesale lending domain expertise including Loans Deals Sanctions Facilities Pricing Billing and Billing Collateral Party Product and deep experience in designing data models for largescale cloud-based data products. This role will be responsible for defining and governing the enterprise data model for the Wholesale Banking business The modeller will develop conceptual logical and physical data models ensuring they align with business processes data product requirements and target state cloud architecture.
Hybrid working:
The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.
Job Role
- Define and govern the enterprise data model for Wholesale Banking across Loans, Deals, Sanctions, Facilities, Pricing, Billing, Collateral, Party, Product and associated reference data
- Develop conceptual, logical and physical data models for large‑scale cloud‑based wholesale lending data products
- Produce detailed modelling documentation aligned with enterprise modelling standards (3NF, Data Vault, Dimensional or hybrid as needed)
- Maintain clear lineage between business concepts, operational lifecycle events and underlying data entities
- Engage senior business stakeholders, product owners and domain SMEs to understand end‑to‑end business processes and data flows across wholesale lending
- Translate business requirements into scalable, accurate and reusable data models supporting downstream data products, APIs and analytics
- Identify gaps and inconsistencies in current‑state data structures and propose target‑state models that streamline wholesale lending processes
- Define canonical models, data entities, relationships and metadata used across enterprise data platforms
- Establish modelling guidelines, metadata standards, glossary definitions and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles
- Ensure data model quality, consistency, integration readiness and compliance with cloud target‑state architecture
Job Skills
- Strong expertise in Wholesale Banking data domains including Loans, Deals, Sanctions, Facilities, Pricing, Billing, Collateral, Party and Product
- Advanced experience designing conceptual, logical and physical models for cloud‑based data platforms
- Deep understanding of industry modelling approaches including 3NF, Data Vault, Dimensional and hybrid patterns
- Ability to develop enterprise‑wide canonical models and metadata definitions supporting multiple data products
- Strong capability in analysing lifecycle events, operational processes and data flows across wholesale lending
- Proven experience engaging SMEs, product owners and senior stakeholders to gather and validate data requirements
- Expertise in identifying modelling gaps, rationalising current‑state structures and defining scalable target‑state models
- Strong documentation skills for lineage mapping, data definitions, entity relationships and modelling standards
- Ability to ensure data model reusability, consistency and alignment with business and architecture principles
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with business, architecture, engineering and governance teams.
