With a hands-on culture and close proximity to its clients, Sogeti is currently looking for a Test Lead to join our Quality Engineering and Test Practice, ensuring alignment with business goals and driving impactful value creation for our clients.

Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your role

  • Lead test planning, coordination, and execution across projects and programmes.
  • Define and maintain test strategies, approaches, plans, and governance aligned to project objectives.
  • Oversee all stages of testing including integration, system, performance, regression, and user acceptance testing activities.
  • Manage test risks, defects, and reporting, ensuring clear communication of quality status to stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes, tools, and quality practices.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to testing teams.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills
  • Guide teams in adopting best practices across all delivery environments including agile, DevOps, and waterfall.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, architects, and project teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the SDLC.
  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels to communicate testing progress, outcomes, and key risks.

Your skills and experience

  • Proven experience leading testing activities across complex projects and programmes.
  • Strong defect management, risk assessment, and quality assurance skills.
  • Hands-on experience with functional, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing and familiarity with non-functional testing.
  • Experience working within agile, DevOps, and waterfall environments
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to align testing activities with business and project objectives.
  • Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TFS, or ALM.
  • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, ReadyAPI, or SoapUI.
  • Understanding of test automation principles and collaboration with automation teams.
  • Familiarity with Generative and Agentic AI and how this can be used within a quality engineering environment
  • ISTQB Foundation Certification in software testing (or equivalent) desirable.
