About the Job you are considering:
We are seeking an experienced Technology Solution Architect with a strong AI-First architecture mindset to shape and validate future-state enterprise solutions.

The successful candidate will design architecture where AI, data and intelligent automation are embedded as core architectural principles, rather than introduced as downstream enhancements.

The role will work at the intersection of Product, Engineering, Architecture and Business, translating future business and product capabilities into scalable, secure and resilient technology solutions. A key focus will be determining whether proposed solutions are technically feasible, commercially appropriate, scalable, secure and aligned with the organization’s broader technology strategy before significant investment is committed.

This is a hands-on architecture role. The architect will be expected to investigate options; challenge assumptions using technical evidence and build proofs of concept (POCs) where required.

Hybrid working: 

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your Role:
The Architect will be accountable for producing and maintaining:

1. Product Capability-to-Solution Enabler Map

1. • Mapping future product capabilities to the technology, AI, data, payment and integration capabilities required to enable them.

2. Future-State Solution Architecture

2. • Target architecture covering AI, applications, data, payments, integrations, security and supporting technology components.

3. Architecture Investigation Evidence Pack

3. • Evidence gathered through technical investigation, POCs, prototypes and technical spikes to support or challenge key hypotheses.

4. Future-State E2E Architecture Options

4. • Alternative end-to-end architecture options, including payment architecture and provider integrations.

5. Build / Buy / Integrate Assessment

5. • Structured assessment of technology options, trade-offs, risks, costs, constraints and strategic alignment.

6. Scalability & Resilience Readiness Assessment

6. • Assessment of whether the proposed architecture can reliably support anticipated volumes, payout events, failures, workload growth and operational scenarios.

7. Architecture Decision Support

7. • Clear recommendations enabling Product and Engineering leadership to make informed investment and technology decisions.

Your Skills:

Essential

• Significant experience as a Technology Solution Architect, Solution Architect, Enterprise Solution Architect or similar senior architecture professional.
• Strong experience designing complex enterprise technology solutions.
• Demonstrable AI-First architecture mindset, with experience integrating AI into core business and technology capabilities.
• Experience implementing AI and data-driven intelligent process optimisation.
• Strong understanding of enterprise application, integration and data architecture.
• Experience translating business and product capabilities into solution architecture.
• Experience creating and evaluating alternative architecture options.
• Strong understanding of build, buy and integrate decision frameworks.
• Experience assessing architecture for scalability, resilience, security, performance and feasibility.
• Experience working across Product and Engineering teams.
• Ability to understand and challenge technical constraints.
• Hands-on technical capability with the ability to develop POCs and prototypes where required.
• Experience communicating effectively with senior stakeholders and engineering teams.
  
  Highly Desirable

• Experience designing payment or payout platforms.
• Experience integrating with payment providers, gateways or financial technology platforms.
• Experience architecting high-volume transaction or event-driven systems.
• Knowledge of distributed architectures, APIs, event-driven integration and cloud-native technologies.
• Experience with Generative AI, AI agents, machine learning or intelligent automation.
• Experience operating within regulated environments such as banking, financial services, insurance or payments.
• Experience working within organisations transitioning towards product-led discovery and engineering models.
• Understanding of enterprise security, data privacy, compliance and technology-risk requirements.
