Technical Business Analyst
Job Title: Technical Business Analyst (with Lloyds Insurance expereince)
About the Job you are considering:
We are seeking a highly motivated Innovation Analyst with 6 months to 1 year of experience to support our innovation initiatives, research emerging technologies, and assist in executing strategic innovation projects. This role is ideal for someone curious, analytical, and passionate about identifying new opportunities that drive business growth.
Hybrid working:
The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.
Your Role:
- Develop a partnership with assigned business units to gain a thorough understanding of short and longterm goals of the business strategy to deliver quality and strategic solutions to the business clients that support business strategy
- Undertake the analysis requirements and demands across the value chain providing key analytical skills that will enable business problems to be understood and the subsequent requirements for IT systems documented tested and delivered
- Document detailed requirements and specifications and ensure these are agreed at all levels throughout the business This is likely to include the following
- User stories including acceptance criteria
- UML use case modelling actor models class state and sequence diagrams
- Gap analysis
- User interface mockups specification
Nonfunctional requirements
- Support the IT system implementation by taking on the lead role in Agile Iterative and Waterfall system implementation projects
- Supporting the Project Manager in delivering the project plan on time and on budget, Follow project methodologies One Essentials as applicable
- Analyse business demand for IT system support automation and digitalisation of business processes
- Derive system requirements from business demands and translate into specifications both on architectural and detail level
- Identification of appropriate solutions under the guidance of enterprise and solution architecture and subject matter experts Follow Munich Re architecture patterns
- Actively drive towards a consistent highly automated resilient and future proof application and data landscape across MRSG to enable cost efficient digital business
- Coordination of feasibility studies production of business cases assessment of options and presentation of recommendations
- Supporting users’ participation in deployments and implementation activities
- Provide traceability of requirements and subsequent change requests tracking delivery of those requirements by the project team
- Assist with business testing preparation and execution on project deliverables ensuring the solution meets business expectations based upon approved project scope
- Ensure that supporting IT Systems processes and organisational changes can be deployed and supported effectively
- Assisting with the production of training material for new systems processes
- Collaboration with business owners to ensure effective benefit realisation
Your Skills
- Good experience in delivering IT or digital projects
- Experience with working as a Technical Business Analyst ideally working in greenfield brownfield and migration projects
- Ideally an understanding of MGA and Lloyds Market operating models including their unique challenges and requirements
- Recognized as proactive with strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex business and technical problems and develop creative solutions
- The ability to influence including negotiating solutions deadlines and commitments
- Strong leadership skills managing coaching and mentoring business analysts
- The ability to motivate and guide business analysts on complex programs of work
- Demonstrated ability to work globally across businesses and international cultures to deliver results
- Successful coordination of complex project deliverables based on an understanding of the customer needs
- Demonstrated personal organizational skills and ability to coordinate the efforts of others involved in the delivery of projects
- A clear focus on internal customer satisfaction with an eye towards constant improvement and promoting efficiency changes
- High degree of drive to stay informed and current on industry trends in Insurance and IT.
