About the Job you are considering:
Technical Project Manager responsible for delivering a cyber response plan for payment (PDQ) systems while ensuring compliance with security and regulatory standards. Leads cross-functional teams across payments, infrastructure (HPE Non-stop), and applications to identify gaps and execute remediation plans. Combines strong payment domain knowledge, cyber security awareness, and project management expertise to drive secure, high-availability system delivery.
Hybrid working:
The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.
Job Role:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of the Cyber Response Plan for the PDQ service
- Ensure alignment with cyber security standards, policies, and regulatory requirements
- Conduct gap analysis to identify security and compliance deviations
- Drive remediation planning including timelines, dependencies, and cost estimates
- Manage full project lifecycle across core acquiring/payment platforms
- Develop and maintain:
- Detailed project plans
- RAID (Risk, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) logs
- Resource and capacity plans
- Governance and reporting frameworks
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across:
- Payment processing systems (BASE24)
- HPE non-stop infrastructure
- Application and integration layers
- Build understanding of technical architecture (BASE24, HPE Non-stop)
- Ensure systems meet availability, resilience, and security requirements
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders across:
- Business teams
- Cyber security
- Engineering
- Infrastructure
- Lead governance forums such as:
- Steering committee meetings
- Status reporting sessions
- Risk and escalation discussions
- Manage risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the project
- Handle change control and scope management
- Track and manage project costs and budget implications
- Ensure audit readiness and compliance throughout delivery
Job Skills:
Domain Expertise
- Strong knowledge of payment acquiring systems
- Understanding of:
- Credit card authorization processes
- Clearing and settlement lifecycle
- Hands-on experience with BASE24 or similar payment switching platforms
Technical Skills
- Familiarity with HPE Non-stop systems and high-availability infrastructure
- Understanding of:
- Application architecture
- APIs, integrations, and message flows
- Knowledge of cyber security frameworks and controls (e.g., PCI-DSS)
- Experience in regulated financial environments
Project Management Skills
- Proven experience managing complex technology projects
- Expertise in:
- Gap analysis and remediation planning
- Compliance-driven delivery
- Strong understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies
- Ability to manage cross-functional dependencies in matrix organizations
Tools & Collaboration
- Proficiency in:
- JIRA (tracking and delivery)
- Confluence (documentation)
- Experience with project planning tools (e.g., MS Project)
- Strong stakeholder communication and coordination skills
