Role: Business Analyst - Wholesale Lending Migration to Finastra Fusion Loan IQ

Lead a cross‑functional Migration Pod to plan, manage, and execute systems and process change for the Wholesale Lending migration from ACBS to Finastra Fusion Loan IQ. Own business analysis, current‑to‑future gap analysis, requirements, process updates, test design and execution, data reconciliation, and operational readiness through go‑live and transition to BAU.

Key Accountabilities

Migration pod delivery: Run the pod, define scope, and drive dry runs and go‑live cutovers. Track risks, issues, and decisions.Data readiness and reconciliation: Validate ACBS data for Loan IQ migration, perform pre‑ and post‑migration reconciliations, and drive fixes to improve data quality across waves.Testing leadership: Build end‑to‑end test strategy and scenarios, write scripts, manage UAT, and capture evidence aligned to business risk.Process and controls: Update procedures and controls for the future state, capture approvals, and maintain a clean artefact trail in the project repository.Stakeholder engagement: Coordinate technology, operations users, controls, Migration Technology Team, and UAT Test Manager. Obtain sign‑off on migration execution, future‑state design choices, and Go/No‑Go.Operational readiness and training: Prepare runbooks, training, and handover. Provide floor‑walking support on site during dress rehearsals and cutover.Continuous improvement: Capture lessons learned from each wave and feed improvements into data, process, and testing plans.Offshore coordination: Co‑manage offshore deliverables, priorities, and quality gates.Reporting and MI: Produce clear status, RAID, and migration MI for leadership and forums. Create professional decks and present to a global audience.

Stakeholder Management and Leadership

Lead the migration pod and contribute to adjacent workstreams (servicing, facility capture, data, testing).Align with other migration leads on timelines, entry/exit criteria, and test delivery plans.Keep business owners current on impacts, required training, and any interim workarounds discovered in testing.Maintain visibility of parallel process changes and call out dependencies and collisions early.

 

Decision‑Making and Problem Solving

  • Triage data discrepancies and defects from dry runs and production cutovers, agree fixes, and track to closure.
  • Design bespoke test scenarios, frameworks, and MI with active stakeholder input.
  • Map deployment plans and timelines to business processes. Fold all business scenarios into documentation, procedures, and test packs, with business controls sign‑off for Go/No‑Go.
  • Clearly explain the operational impact of change and the benefits case, so the business adopts and realises the value.

Risk and Control Objective

Carry out all activities in full compliance with regulatory requirements, the Enterprise‑Wide Risk Management Framework, and internal Policies and Policy Standards. Keep auditable records of approvals, test evidence, reconciliations, and controls.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Hands‑on experience with ACBS in Corporate and IB Lending Operations.
  • Hands‑on experience with Finastra Fusion Loan IQ from operations or implementation/upgrade projects, in one or more areas: configuration, business analysis, operations processes, loan servicing, syndicated lending.
  • Strong understanding of Corporate and IB Lending processes and procedures.
  • Fast learner with the ability to adopt new systems and processes.
  • Confident working with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Desirable

  • Project delivery experience, including cutover and migration waves.
  • Working knowledge of Agile and Waterfall phases and governance.
  • Tooling: JIRA, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel.
  • Lending servicing knowledge across debt products, including term loans, revolvers, and delayed‑draw term loans.
  • Experience in Agile project management.
  • Close collaboration with IT, Transformation, and Change functions.
