Job Title: Cards Solution Architect

We are seeking a highly experienced Solution Architect with deep domain expertise in Cards and Payments to join our Core Banking Architecture team. This role is pivotal in designing scalable, resilient, and secure technology solutions for complex banking journeys, including loans, savings/current accounts, account switching, and payments.

You will lead architectural design across multiple platforms, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and drive innovation while ensuring compliance with regulatory and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture for:
  • Loans and savings/current account journeys
  • Account switching and payments
  • Operational platforms with a focus on scalability, resiliency, and security
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and project managers to align technical solutions with business goals
• Govern architectural standards and produce design artefacts for privacy, records management, and risk
• Advise business and product teams on technical delivery and innovation strategies
• Evaluate and integrate vendor products, support systems strategy, and automate operational processes

Essential Expertise

• Proven experience in Cards and Payments, including card issuance and authorization journeys
• Strong understanding of current account and core banking systems
• Familiarity with payment schemes, cloud architecture, APIs, DevOps, and security paradigms
• Experience with tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, JIRA, Tableau, and Confluence
• Excellent stakeholder management and strategic influencing skills
• Ability to balance cloud adoption, automation, and compliance in solution design
