About the Job you are considering:
The Cloud Solution Architect Consultant is responsible for shaping and designing end‑to‑end cloud solutions that meet business, security, and operational needs. In this consultative role, you will provide strategic architectural guidance using AWS cloud platform, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and future‑ready design principles. You will partner with stakeholders to define solution direction, advise delivery teams throughout implementation, and ensure that architectures remain scalable, secure, and business‑aligned.
Hybrid working:
The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.
Your Role:
- Hands on Solution Architect with strong expertise in Kafka Confluent Kafka MongoDB AWS APIs and Operational Data Stores ODS able to operate confidently across both high level architecture and low-level design and implementation.
- Engage with business and technical stakeholders to understand goals, clarify requirements, and translate them into purposeful cloud architecture recommendations.
- Present architectural decisions and trade-offs with clarity and intent, enabling stakeholders to make informed, value‑driven decisions.
- Support governance and review boards with concise, consultative insights that ensure alignment to strategy, standards, and enterprise priorities.
- Guide engineering and DevOps teams with ongoing coaching on cloud best practices, CI/CD approaches, and emerging technologies.
- Refine architectural documentation (HLD/LLD) as solutions to mature, ensuring designs remain relevant, secure, and optimized over time.
- Collaborate closely with teams to resolve complex technical issues, using each engagement as an opportunity to uplift engineering capability and improve solution quality.
- Promote continuous learning by championing cloud modernization, automation, and practices that enhance speed, reliability, and maintainability.
- Design secure, scalable, and future‑ready cloud solutions that anticipate enterprise growth and evolving technology landscapes.
- Ensure alignment with cloud landing zones, enterprise standards, security frameworks, and compliance requirements, creating architectures that support long‑term resilience.
- Implement robust security patterns including IAM, encryption, network segmentation, and threat modeling to protect tomorrow’s digital assets.
- Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives, shaping architectures that position the enterprise for innovation, agility, and sustainable transformation.
Your Skills:
- 6 years of software engineering experience including 3 years hands on with Confluent Apache Kafka.
- Experience designing and building distributed streaming applications using Confluent Platform components.
- Strong understanding of event driven architecture concepts event streaming event sourcing Pub Sub stream processing.
- Experience with AvroJSONProtobuf schema evolution and Schema Registry.
- Integration experience with backend systems such as SQLNoSQL databases APIs and cloud data platforms.
- Familiarity with API design data modelling and microservice integration patterns.
- Working knowledge of AWS.
- Strong understanding of clean code reusable component design and Agile DevOps practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Certifications like Azure Architect Expert, AWS SA Pro, or GCP Architect preferred.
