Your Role:
Any Government’s first and foremost goal is to keep its citizens safe. At Capgemini Invent we have been supporting the Home Office, policing and wider public safety sector in protecting citizens by transforming the way key institutions overcome challenges, maximise opportunities and build sustainable and ground-breaking digital products and services.
Working closely with our clients, we help organisations remodel and redesign their structures and approach to meet constantly evolving threats to citizens. We accomplish this using our diverse and enthusiastic team, made up of experienced consultants and industry hires representing the span of public sector skills and experience, with a focus on policing.

As a Senior Manager in Policing at Invent, you’ll have the opportunity to bring your significant sector expertise to support our ambition to be the Policing Sector Consultancy partner of choice. We will need you to autonomously lead complex programmes for our clients, contribute towards business development and internal initiatives and develop your team(s) from a skills, experience, and capability perspective. Our Policing subsector is fast growing: this translates to abundant opportunities to shape the subsector positively for the future; a challenge we want our Senior Managers to meet head on. While working in a supportive team environment, you will have the confidence and experience to drive our business development activities.
This position will offer you the opportunity to:
- Deliver some of the most impactful digital and strategic transformation programmes across the Public Sector
- Work with clients to develop and deploy world-leading and innovative digital, data and technology solutions, in a complex and fast changing public safety landscape
- Stimulate innovation and build strategic operating models, hand-in-hand with the client, making lives safer
- Refine business processes to help clients identify and embed new ways of working that promote success and wellbeing across the workforce
- Deliver better operational outcomes and successfully land large, complex programmes of work across the entirety of the policing sector
- Help clients across the policing sector to attract and retain the diverse highly skilled workforces that they need to deliver their missions
As part of your role you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth, through activities that form part of the following categories:
- Business Development – Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.
- Internal contribution – Campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.
- Learning & development – Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.
Your Profile:

- Operational policing sector experience;

- Holds UK security clearance;
- Flexibility to travel;

- A strong commitment to self-development.
As a Senior Manager at Capgemini Invent in the Policing team, your responsibilities will include:
- Using your strategic mind-set to support organisations develop their response to new threats and challenges, capitalise on opportunities and support them through technical, legislative and regulatory change
- Bringing expert and innovative insights to the very top of organisations, utilising excellent written, oral and presentational communication skills
- Leading large scale, complex programme management and transformation initiatives in the Policing Sector with demonstrable ability to sell on to further work
- Being positive, open-minded, compassionate, goal-orientated and professional, committed to bringing out the best in each client and project
