The Enterprise Data Management practice within the Insights and Data business unit of Capgemini; a global practice involved in Enterprise Data Management, Cloud Platforms, Enterprise Content Management and AI & Analytics.  The Enterprise Data Management provides services on Information Strategy, Data Governance, Master Data Management, Data Architecture, Data Migration and Lifecycle Management. 


We help our clients build an enterprise-class data platform that allows them to move ahead in their journey of data and insights. Primarily working with leading software vendors like SAP, Informatica, IBM, Oracle et al, the team are first and foremost Consultants, putting client requirements and industry best practices at the heart of delivery.


Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your Role

As a Senior Data Solution Architect within Capgemini’s Enterprise Data Management (EDM) practice, you will lead the design and delivery of robust data and solution architectures across complex client engagements. 


You will work with cutting-edge technologies and industry-leading platforms to help clients unlock the full value of their data assets. This role offers the opportunity to shape data strategy, drive innovation, and influence enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Architectural Leadership: Define and implement enterprise data architectures, including conceptual, logical, and physical models, aligned with business goals and technology strategies.
  • Data Management Expertise: Lead initiatives in Data Governance, Master Data Management (MDM), Data Quality, Metadata Management, and Data Cataloguing.
  • Technology Enablement: Design and oversee implementation using platforms such as Informatica (Axon, EDC, IDMC), Collibra, Talend, SAP MDG, Azure Purview, AWS Glue, and Google Cloud Data Catalog.
  • Client Engagement: Collaborate with senior stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
  • Delivery Oversight: Guide multidisciplinary teams through the full lifecycle of data programmes—from discovery and design to implementation and optimisation.
  • Innovation & Best Practice: Contribute to the development of EDM standards, accelerators, and reusable assets. Stay abreast of emerging trends in data architecture and AI-driven data management.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in enterprise data architecture across large-scale transformation programmes.
  • Deep understanding of data management disciplines including:
  • Data Governance frameworks and operating models
  • MDM implementation and strategy
  • Data Quality assessment and remediation
  • Metadata and lineage management
  • Hands-on experience with leading data platforms and cloud ecosystems (Azure, AWS, GCP and Snowflake).
  • Experience architecting data platforms that are Agentic AI-ready, including:
  • Designing data ecosystems that support autonomous agents and AI-driven decisioning
  • Enabling real-time data access, semantic interoperability, and dynamic metadata enrichment
  • Leveraging AI capabilities for intelligent data discovery, classification, and governance
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at CxO level.
  • Experience of working with leading consulting and IT services organisations, delivering high-impact data solutions across diverse industry sectors

Your Security Clearance

To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance. 
To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements.
