Job Title: Senior Data Modeller

Location: London/Northampton


Role Overview

This role is focused on internal audit, remediation, and closure validation, ensuring that audit findings are properly addressed, documented, and signed off with strong evidence.

This is a governance-heavy & documentation-intensive role, very different from BA or migration roles.



Hybrid working:

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your Role

 

Internal Audit & Remediation

  • Hands-on involvement in:
    • Audit findings
    • Management remediation actions
    • Validation of fixes
  • Ensure:
    • Issues are properly addressed
    • Actions are effective and sustainable

 

Closure Pack Expertise (Critical Area)

You are expected to create or review closure packs that:

A strong closure pack should include:

  • Clear explanation of the original issue
  • Detailed remediation action taken
  • How the action resolves the risk
  • Evidence proving:
    • Action is implemented
    • Control is embedded (not just one-time fix)

This is a core skill for this role

 

Evidence Gathering & Validation

  • Collect and assess:
    • Documentation
    • Screenshots
    • Process proof
  • Ensure evidence:
    • Meets audit standards
    • Is complete and defensible

 

Section 166 Program Experience (Big Advantage)

  • Exposure to regulatory reviews (e.g., UK FCA Section 166)
  • Focus on:
    • Remediation documentation
    • Closure justification
  • Not just project handling, but evidence and pack quality

 

Stakeholder Management

  • Work with:
    • Senior stakeholders
    • Multiple departments
  • Handle:
    • Conflicting priorities
    • Sensitive audit discussions

 

Driving Outcomes

  • Push teams to:
    • Provide evidence
    • Complete remediation actions
  • Lead discussions to:
    • Resolve issues
    • Meet tight deadlines
