Senior Data Integration / Migration Consultant (Informatica PowerCenter

The Focus of Your Role

 

The Enterprise Data Management practice within the Insights and Data business unit of Capgemini; a global practice involved in Enterprise Data Management, Cloud Platforms, Enterprise Content Management and AI & Analytics.  The Enterprise Data Management provides services on Information Strategy, Data Governance, Master Data Management, Data Architecture, Data Migration and Lifecycle Management. 
We help our clients build an enterprise-class data platform that allows them to move ahead in their journey of data and insights. 

The Data Migration Consultant role revolves around creating efficient, scalable, and reliable solutions from diverse source systems to a variety of new applications.  

 

PLEASE NOTE: 

Security Clearance: To be successfully appointed to this role, must be eligible to obtain Security Check (SC)clearance. 
To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements.

What You Will Be Doing

 

We are seeking a candidate with extensive experience in large scale data integration or migrations using Informatica PowerCenter. The ideal candidate will also possess robust functional and data domain expertise.

As a consultant, you will not only develop innovative solutions for our clients but also stay updated on the latest advancements in data integration / transformation technology. You will provide guidance to clients and internal teams, and you may also share your insights with the broader community through blogs, articles, and social media
 
What you’ll do:

  • Advise clients on how to build and run an effective Data Migration/Integration program, using industry best practices
  • Analysis of Source and Target systems
  • Analysis of Data Quality and advise on how to improve areas of concern
  • Develop, set up or improve the ETL frameworks and process
  • Understand the requirements from a programme perspective
  • Work closely with the client for crafting the functional and technical solution 
  • Work with functional and technical teams
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise all activities related to the project implementation


The role combines technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic thinking to oversee and manage the data integration design function within an organization.

What You Will Bring

 

Your Skills and Experience:

 

  • Experience in designing and delivering data integration / migration projects using Informatica PowerCenter.
  • Experience in managing teams to deliver Informatica PowerCenter Solutions.
  • Experience in supporting large scale data integration installations and managing change.
  • Data Profiling and Cleansing: Expertise in leading and implementing solutions for data profiling, data cleansing.
