Senior Data Engineer

About the Job you are considering:

As data engineer Design build test data flows and data models in AWS Snowflake in line with business requirements. Responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and supporting scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data platforms using DevOps best practices. Automate CI/CD processes, implement Infrastructure as Code, monitor production environments, ensure data security and reliability, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust analytics solutions.

Hybrid working:

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your Role:

  • Manage data lakes, data warehouses, and lakehouses. 
  • Optimize storage, partitioning, indexing, and query performance. 
  • Support platforms like Azure Data Lake, Snowflake, Databricks, AWS S3, Redshift, Synapse, or BigQuery.
  • Create CI/CD pipelines for data applications and infrastructure. 
  • Automate code deployment using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD. 
  • Implement version control using Git. 
  • Enable automated testing and deployment of data pipelines.

Your Skills:

  • Design build and manage AWS cloud infrastructure EC2 S3 VPC RDS Lambda.
  • Develop and maintain CICD pipelines using GitLab CICD Jenkins AWS CodePipeline and CodeBuild.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using AWS CloudFormation.
  • Manage source code repositories branching strategies and release processes using GitLab.
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker ECS EKS and Kubernetes.
  • Implement monitoring logging and alerting using CloudWatch CloudTrail Grafana.
  • Automate operational tasks through Python and Shell scripting
