Senior Data Engineer - London, UK

About the Job you are considering:

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will become part of a highly skilled data team delivering advanced solutions for one of Norway's largest organizations. You will work with complex data platforms, stringent quality and security requirements, and a strong focus on data-driven development.

Hybrid working:

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your Role:

This role combines deep technical expertise with close collaboration across business and analytics teams. You will play a key role in shaping the data foundation used for critical decision-making, innovative products, and future-focused services.

• Own the design, development, and enhancement of scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Develop data products and data platform components aligned with modern architectural principles.
• Structure, integrate, and ensure data quality with a focus on performance, scalability, and accessibility.
• Drive data modeling and implement best practices in automation, orchestration, and CI/CD.
• Act as a trusted advisor, translating business requirements into technical solutions while contributing to the continuous improvement of both the platform and the team.
  
  

Your Skills:

• Experience in cloud-based data engineering using Azure, AWS, or GCP, preferably with Databricks, Snowflake, or Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with Python, along with a keen interest in modern data platforms and architectures.
• Good understanding of data modeling, data quality, and building reliable and efficient data solutions.
• Experience with, or interest in, DevOps practices including CI/CD, orchestration, and version control using Git.
• Fluent in both Norwegian and English, written and spoken.
