Job Title: Senior Business Analyst

Location: London Or Northampton

 

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst to support strategic Basel IV regulatory transformation initiatives within a global banking organization. The role requires strong expertise in regulatory capital, risk management, and large-scale regulatory change programs, working across Risk, Finance, Treasury, Regulatory Reporting, Architecture, and Technology teams.

 

 

Hybrid working:

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

 

Your Role

Regulatory Business Analysis

  • Interpret and analyze Basel IV regulations (PRA, EBA, CRR3, etc.).
  • Translate regulatory requirements into business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Conduct impact and gap assessments across Risk, Finance, Capital Management, Regulatory Reporting, Data, and Technology functions.
  • Define current-state and target-state processes for capital calculation and regulatory reporting.

  • Support implementation of Basel IV methodologies covering:
    • Credit Risk
    • Counterparty Credit Risk
    • Operational Risk
    • Market Risk
    • RWA calculations
    • Leverage Ratio
    • Output Floor requirements


Requirements Management

  • Facilitate workshops with stakeholders across business, risk, finance, modeling, and technology teams.
  • Gather, document, and manage business, functional, non-functional, and data requirements.


Data & Regulatory Reporting

  • Analyze source-to-target data flows supporting Basel IV calculations.
  • Ensure strong data governance, lineage, and quality controls.
  • Support regulatory reporting solution design and implementation.


Change Delivery

  • Work closely with Project Managers and Product Owners.
  • Support both Agile and Waterfall delivery frameworks.
  • Manage requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in SIT, UAT, and parallel run testing activities.
  • Support implementation and post-production stabilization.


Stakeholder Management

  • Engage with senior stakeholders across:
    • Risk
    • Finance
    • Treasury
    • Capital Management
    • Regulatory Reporting
    • Technology
    • Internal Audit

 

Your Job

 

Experience

  • 10+ years of Business Analysis experience within investment banking, commercial banking, or regulatory transformation programs.
  • 5+ years of Basel III/IV regulatory change experience.
  • Strong background in regulatory capital and RWA programs.
  • Proven experience delivering global, multi-jurisdiction regulatory initiatives.

 

Domain Expertise

Candidates should have strong expertise in at least one of the following Basel IV risk domains:

  • Basel IV Framework and Basel III Final Reforms
  • Capital Adequacy Regulations and Risk-Weighted Assets (RWA)
  • Credit Risk (Standardized and IRB Approaches)
