SAP Test Manager

We’re seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented SAP S/4HANA Test Manager to oversee high-impact projects to contribute to mission-critical programmes. This role ensures that all SAP components function correctly and meet business requirements, with a strong focus on quality assurance and defect management.

You’ll work closely with functional consultants across various SAP workstreams, ensuring robust testing and system validation.

You may be required to work on a portfolio of projects or a single multi-discipline managed service (e.g., covering QA, technical integration and data validation across an SAP landscape).

Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your role

Mandatory Skills:

  • End to End leadership of complex SAP testing projects including 3rd party integrations and multiple SAP S/4HANA modules
  • Authoring of test management documentation including strategies, plans, schedules and management & status reports
  • Detailed test scheduling and management of end-to-end testing
  • Definition, ownership and oversight of execution of testing for SAP S/4HANA solutions across multiple modules and including integrations with 3rd party components.
  • Ability to collaborate with functional consultants and technical teams across workstreams (e.g., FI, CO, SD, MM, PP, QM, PM).
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of test scripts linked to business scenarios. Maintain traceability and documentation from requirements through to Epics/User Stories and Test Cases.
  • Identify, log, prioritize and track defects through to resolution using any test management tools (e.g., JIRA, SAP SolMan, SAP Cloud ALM, Azure DevOps).
  • Ensure compliance with testing standards and project timelines.
  • Manage the risk, assumptions, issues and dependencies (RAID) process.

Essential Skills:

  • Ensuring work is undertaken in alignment with an organisation’s Test Policy and / or Strategy when creating project or programme level test management documentation.
  • Demonstrable experience in SAP S/4HANA testing, ideally in one or more core modules (e.g., PP / MM / QM / WM / FI / CO) and use of SAP Fiori as the frontend to S/4HANA
  • Knowledge of middleware technologies and data exchange formats (e.g., ALE/IDocs, SAP Integration Suite, XML, APIs).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Staying attuned to the customer’s emerging needs, creating sustainable customer value.

     

    Useful Skills:

    • Familiarity with Tricentis Tosca.
    • Experience of migrating from SAP R/3 or SAP ECC to S/4HANA.
    • Integration with Salesforce.
    • Experience with ETL and ELT data pipelines.
    • Foundational knowledge of BASIS and ABAP.
    • Familiarity with SAP GUI
