We’re seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented SAP S/4HANA Automation Architect to join a high-impact project. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to mission-critical programmes. This role will contribute to designing and governing the end-to-end automation strategy for SAP implementations, with a strong focus on quality assurance.
You’ll work closely with functional consultants across various SAP workstreams, ensuring a robust automation framework is set up and maintained for each release.
You may be required to work on a portfolio of projects or a single multi-discipline managed service (e.g. covering test automation and QA across an SAP landscape).
Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your role
Mandatory Skills:
- Design, implementation and delivery of SAP S/4HANA automation solutions for all phases of testing
- Ability to work with functional consultants, technical teams and others across workstreams (e.g., FI, CO, SD, MM, PP, QM, PM) to understand automation opportunities and requirements across different test phases
- Planning and management of automation implementation across project phases (e.g. System Testing, SIT, UAT, OAT) including regression testing, accessibility and compatibility testing.
- Support test team members with the development and maintenance of test automation linked to business scenarios.
- Creation and maintenance of key test management assets including requirements traceability, plans, strategies and reports.
- Ensure compliance with testing standards and project timelines.
Essential Skills:
- Hands-on experience with at least two relevant automation tools specifically Tricentis Tosca and one other
- Proven experience in SAP S/4HANA testing, in one or more core modules (e.g., PP, MM, QM, WM, FICO).
- Strong understanding of integration testing principles and experience with Integration with non-SAP systems.
- Understanding of middleware technologies and data exchange formats (e.g. ALE/IDocs, SAP Integration Suite, XML, APIs).
- Experience of automated pipelines (e.g., CI/CD) with exposure to SAP Continuous Integration and Delivery (BTP), Project Piper or similar.
- Familiarity with relevant ancillary tools including SAP SolMan, Azure DevOps.
- Ability to analyse complex situations and create workable solutions
- Ability to collaborate with people across the delivery landscape in multi-disciplinary teams, including 3rd party suppliers
- Staying attuned to the customer’s emerging needs, creating sustainable customer value.
- Suitable qualification in cloud and infrastructure (e.g., Azure or AWS Architect)
Useful Skills:
- Experience of migrating from SAP R/3 or SAP ECC to S/4HANA.
- Familiarity with automated provision of data for test cases, including potential automation of suitable test data as obfuscated versions of production data.
- Integration with Salesforce.
- Experience with ETL and ELT data pipelines.
- Knowledge of BASIS and ABAP.
- Familiarity with SAP GUI and Fiori.
