Job Title: PROJECT MANAGER

Location: Northampton

 

About the Job you are considering:

To manage change projects that help the organisation achieve its strategic objectives while ensuring that projects are delivered on time within budget in control and in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures

 

Hybrid working:

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

 

Your Role

Project Delivery

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of change projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and delivery roadmaps.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards.
  • Monitor project progress and drive timely resolution of delivery challenges.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders, business stakeholders, technology teams, operations, and external partners.
  • Provide regular updates on project status, risks, issues, and key decisions.
  • Facilitate effective collaboration across multiple functions and business areas.

Governance and Risk Management

  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies.
  • Ensure adherence to governance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Escalate critical risks and issues through appropriate governance channels.

Resource and Financial Management

  • Coordinate project resources to ensure successful delivery.
  • Manage project budgets and track expenditure against approved plans.
  • Support resource planning and allocation activities.

Change Management

  • Lead business readiness, communications, and training activities.
  • Support successful implementation and adoption of change initiatives.
  • Ensure new processes, products, and capabilities are effectively embedded within the organization.

Reporting and Controls

  • Prepare and present project status reports for stakeholders and governance forums.
  • Track milestones, deliverables, and benefits realization.
  • Maintain project documentation and control artefacts.



Your Skills

  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale business or technology transformation programs.
  • Strong project management and delivery expertise.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent risk, issue, and dependency management skills.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and influencing abilities.
  • Experience managing project budgets, timelines, and resources.
  • Knowledge of change management principles and implementation practices.
  • Understanding of governance, regulatory, and compliance requirements within financial services.

 

Preferred Experience

  • Commercial cards, corporate issuing, payments, or banking experience.
  • Product simplification, product rationalization, or transformation program experience.
  • Experience delivering initiatives across product, technology, operations, risk, and compliance functions.
  • Familiarity with agile and waterfall delivery methodologies.
