About the Job you are considering:

The Product Writer – Insurance Tester is responsible for validating and assuring the quality of insurance product configurations, rating engines, and product models built using Product Writer, RTE, XRTE, and related tools.

Hybrid working:

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

 

Your Role:

  • Test ProductWriter dictionaries, skeleton schemes, and structure configurations.
  • Validate RTE/XRTE rating models, rating tables, formulas, factors, and rating logic.
  • Ensure correct mapping of product definitions and consistency with business requirements.
  • Create detailed test scenarios, test cases, and test data for functional coverage.
  • Log, track, and manage defects using JIRA.
  • Monitor testing progress and provide status reports.
  • Collaborate with BA and development teams during requirement analysis.
  • Ensure insurance products meet accuracy, consistency, and compliance standards.
  • Identify risks, gaps, or product discrepancies early in the cycle.

 

Your Skills:

  • Experience with ProductWriter dictionary, skeleton schemes, RTE/XRTE, and rating engine validation.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance rating, product modelling, and premium calculation workflows.
  • Strong command over Functional Testing, Regression Testing, and Sanity Testing.
  • Ability to design and execute test scenarios and detailed test cases for complex product builds.
  • Experience using JIRA for test management and defect lifecycle tracking.

 

Preferred skills (Not mandatory)

  • Use Selenium and Java for automating regression scenarios where applicable.
  • Contribute to automation scripts, frameworks, and execution.
