YOUR ROLE
- Strategic consulting and project management in the payments sector – from conception to implementation
- Development of strategies and solutions for traditional and innovative payment topics (e.g., cards, instant payments, CBDC, crypto, trade finance)
- Assessment of current trends and technologies and derivation of relevant implications for our clients
- Development of new service offerings and support in their marketing
- Management and development of consultants as well as providing impetus for new topics in the payments sector
- Active driving sales for payment topics focused on priority accounts in the UK
In this role you will play a key role in:
- You will be a leading Payments consultant and / or expert with experience in transformation programmes.
- You will have expertise in developing and applying the most advanced payments’ solutions in the market for our banking clients in both domestic and international settings.
- You will have achieved success and excellence in the definition of strategic programs and their execution.
- You will demonstrate superior pre-sales and sales skills in building and maintaining a payments network across the UK including attending major payments industry meetings and representing Capgemini Invent on the stage and in panels
As part of your role you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth, through activities that form part of the following categories:
- Business Development – Building a client network, leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.
- Internal contribution – Campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.
- Learning & development – Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.
- Delivery – Leading the delivery of projects with dedicated teams
YOUR PROFILE
- You possess in-depth knowledge of current trends and regulatory requirements in payment processing and banking, including: acquisition, issuance, open banking, international schemes, fintechs, and transactional payments
- You will have knowledge of the payment verticals, i. You will have a well-informed viewpoint and / or expertise with DeFi, blockchain, CBDC, stablecoin, crypto and cloud - and the impact of those technologies and trends on payments.
- You have a strong affinity for IT and enjoy strategic and analytical work, managing innovative projects, and solving complex customer challenges.
- You have established a solid client base across the UK which you already leverage for your sales success.
- Experience with team management
- Track record of thriving and delivering in a fast-paced environment
- Recognised expertise and understanding of the payments’ ecosystem and technologies
- Expertise managing multiple complex programmes and executive cross-functional stakeholders
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Currently working in a major Consulting firm, and/or in industry but having a Consulting background Proven ability to be successful in a matrixed organisation, and to enlist support and commitment from peers in selling and delivering consulting solutions.
- Experience of proposition building and delivery.
- Business development – utilising a combination of the organisation’s broader pre-existing relationships, company relationships and your own network, you’ll be generating c.£2m of consulting revenues (Director)
