About the Job you are considering:
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with strong London Market Insurance domain expertise to lead and deliver business and technology transformation initiatives for a specialty insurance client.
The candidate should have proven experience managing end-to-end projects across London Market insurance operations, underwriting, claims, policy administration, delegated authority, bordereaux, regulatory reporting, data transformation, and platform modernisation.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, brokers, underwriters, claims teams, operations teams, and senior leadership. The role requires strong delivery management, stakeholder engagement, risk management, governance, and excellent understanding of London Market insurance processes
Hybrid working:
The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end delivery of projects within the London Market Insurance domain.
Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies, and delivery milestones.
Work closely with business stakeholders, underwriters, claims teams, brokers, operations, compliance, and technology teams.
Drive delivery across insurance processes such as:
Underwriting
Claims
Policy administration
Premium processing
Delegated authority
Bordereaux management
Reinsurance
Regulatory reporting
Data and analytics
Manage technology and business transformation projects across London Market systems and platforms.
Define project plans, RAID logs, governance forums, status reports, and executive dashboards.
Coordinate with internal teams, third-party vendors, software providers, and offshore delivery teams.
Facilitate workshops for requirement gathering, process mapping, solution design, testing, and implementation planning.
Ensure project delivery aligns with business objectives, regulatory requirements, governance standards, and operating model changes.
Manage project delivery using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
Support change management, business readiness, training, communication, and adoption activities.
Track project financials, resource utilisation, delivery progress, and benefits realisation.
Identify delivery risks early and implement mitigation plans.
Support UAT planning, defect management, release management, and post-implementation support.
Prepare steering committee updates, management packs, project reports, and decision papers.
Ensure compliance with London Market standards, data governance, security, audit, and regulatory expectations.
Mandatory Skills
Strong experience as a Project Manager in the insurance industry.
Good working knowledge of London Market Insurance processes.
Experience delivering projects for Lloyd’s market, brokers, managing agents, syndicates, or specialty insurers.
Strong understanding of insurance lifecycle processes including:

Experience managing technology transformation, platform implementation, data migration, or regulatory change projects.
Strong stakeholder management skills across business, IT, operations, vendors, and senior leadership.
Experience managing project governance, RAID, project planning, budget tracking, and reporting.
Ability to work with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
Strong communication, negotiation, influencing, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models.
Good understanding of testing lifecycle, UAT, release management, and production implementation.
Strong documentation and presentation skills.
