We are seeking an experienced Oracle HCM Cloud Senior Application Consultant to join our growing Oracle Cloud SaaS Team. In this role, you will lead the design, implementation, and delivery of Oracle Cloud HCM solutions across a diverse portfolio of clients, helping organisations transform their HR processes and maximise the value of their Oracle Cloud investment.
You will work closely with business stakeholders, project teams, solution architects, and technical specialists to deliver high-quality Oracle HCM solutions, provide functional leadership across key workstreams, and ensure successful outcomes throughout the project lifecycle. Leveraging your expertise in Oracle HCM Cloud, you will play a key role in shaping solution design, driving best practices, supporting business development activities, and mentoring junior team members within a collaborative and innovative delivery environment.
Your Role
As an Oracle HCM Cloud Senior Application Consultant, you will lead the functional design and delivery of Oracle HCM solutions, working closely with business stakeholders, integration architects, and technical teams to ensure requirements are translated into effective, end-to-end solutions. You will facilitate workshops, provide expertise across Oracle HCM modules, review integration and technical designs, and support complex transformation programmes within multi-supplier environments. You will also help shape solution strategies, manage stakeholder relationships, support pre-sales activities, and ensure that Oracle HCM best practices are applied to deliver successful business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of Oracle HCM Cloud solutions across Core HR, Payroll, Absence Management, Recruiting, Talent Management, Learning, and Workforce Compensation.
- Facilitate requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and stakeholder discussions to understand business needs and define solution requirements.
- Configure or support the configuration of Oracle HCM Cloud applications and ensure successful integration with related systems.
- Collaborate with Integration Architects and OIC Developers to ensure functional requirements are translated into effective technical solutions.
- Support interface and integration design workshops and provide guidance on integration impacts, dependencies, and process design considerations.
- Review technical designs to ensure alignment with business processes, operational requirements, and Oracle HCM best practices.
- Act as the key liaison between business, functional, technical, and integration teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
- Build strong relationships with HR, Payroll, Security, Reporting, Shared Services, and technical delivery teams, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate discussions with client stakeholders, implementation partners, and third-party suppliers within complex multi-supplier environments.
- Communicate technical concepts and solution options clearly to non-technical audiences and business stakeholders.
- Support large-scale Oracle SaaS transformation programmes, applying industry best practices and delivery experience.
- Contribute to business development activities, including client presentations, demonstrations, bid responses, and proposal development.
- Stay current with Oracle HCM Cloud innovations, capabilities, and roadmap developments, sharing knowledge and best practices across the team.
Your skills and experience
Oracle HCM Functional Expertise
- Strong Oracle HCM Cloud functional consulting background with deep knowledge of HCM processes and best practices.
- Proven expertise in configuring and implementing Oracle HCM Cloud modules, including Core HR, Talent Management, Oracle Recruiting Cloud (ORC), Learning, Absence Management, Payroll, and Workforce Compensation.
- Strong understanding of Oracle HCM product capabilities, roadmap, industry best practices, and emerging trends.
- Experience delivering a minimum of three full end-to-end Oracle Cloud HCM implementations.
Oracle HCM Cloud certification(s) preferred.
- Oracle Global Human Resources Cloud Implementation Professional Certification
- Oracle Talent Management Cloud Implementation Professional Certification
- Oracle Absence Management Cloud Implementation Professional Certification
- Oracle Recruiting Cloud Implementation Professional Certification
- Oracle Learning Cloud Implementation Professional Certification
- Oracle Workforce Compensation Cloud Implementation Professional Certification
- Oracle Payroll Cloud Implementation Professional Certification
- Good understanding of Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and Oracle HCM integration frameworks.
- Ability to translate business requirements into functional designs and integration solutions.
- Experience reviewing and validating technical designs to ensure alignment with business processes and programme objectives.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to confidently engage with business leaders, HR teams, technical teams, suppliers, and programme stakeholders.
- Skilled at explaining technical concepts, integration impacts, and solution options to non-technical audiences.
- Experience working within complex, multi-supplier delivery environments.
Programme Delivery Experience
- Minimum of 7 years' experience delivering Oracle Cloud HCM implementations and consulting services within complex programme environments.
- Experience supporting large-scale public sector or government transformation programmes.
- Knowledge of Government Shared Services and HR operating models would be advantageous.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Professional CIPD qualification is desirable.
- Current UK Government Security Clearance (SC) is desirable.
