Oracle Data and Analytics Consultant

Who You Will Be Working With

In order to be considered for this role, you will need to be eligible for UK Security Clearance

You will join the Enterprise Data Management practice in Capgemini’s Insights and Data (I&D) business unit. Insights and Data is a global business unit covering Enterprise Data Management, Cloud Platforms, Enterprise Content Management and AI & Analytics.

Our practice has a strong focus on leading technology vendors, spanning data warehousing, data quality, data governance, data integration and analytics.

Capgemini is proud to be a leading partner for Oracle implementations, and this role offers a unique chance to work alongside some of the top experts in the country, delivering Oracle data and analytics solutions on some of the largest and most complex client engagements, across a variety of industry sectors.

The Focus Of Your Role

Deriving insight from data is complex – with information critical to organisation decision-making dispersed across multiple systems, both internally and externally. It is challenging to make sense of the data and we are looking for candidates, with a background in data warehousing, data lakes and data lakehouses in an Oracle context, who can architect modern data platforms that suit agile delivery of data products and present those insights utilising a variety of channels.

As an experienced consultant, in addition to developing innovative solutions for our clients, you will keep abreast of the latest developments in the data, analytics and data modelling products and offerings from other vendors, and demonstrate a wider knowledge of data platforms, non-Oracle and hybrid data ecosystems. You will provide guidance to clients and internally to other resources. You may also offer insights to the wider community through blogs, articles and social media.

What You Will Bring

Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate practical experience across the following areas:

  • The technical design and implementation of leading-edge data and analytics solutions, specifically in the domains of data warehousing and data lakehouse design
  • Oracle’s PaaS and IaaS data platform technologies such as Oracle Database (including Autonomous Data Warehouse), Object Storage and Oracle Data Integrator
  • Oracle’s PaaS and SaaS analytics solutions such as Oracle Analytics Cloud, Fusion Data Intelligence Platform, and Oracle Fusion Cloud’s embedded reporting technologies (OTBI and BI Publisher)
  • Programming languages such as SQL and Python
  • Logical and physical data modelling, including dimensional modelling and Data Vault 2.0
  • Deploying data models and accelerated data integration pipelines into target data warehouse and hybrid data lakehouse platforms
  • Working with multiple delivery models, including Agile
  • Must be eligible for Security Check (SC) or already has SC and is a UK national.

Additional skills of interest include:

  • An awareness of other data and analytics platforms, such as Snowflake, Databricks, and PowerBI.

What you’ll do

At Capgemini you will be able to harness your experience to technically implement complex solutions in the data warehousing, data integration and analytics space, by:

  • Operating as a customer facing consultant on the design and implementation of complex data and analytics led solutions, such as data lakehouses, and data visualization dashboards
  • Working with talented individuals in the UK and abroad, across the whole of the UK, to deliver projects on time and to customer expectations
  • Being an advocate of Oracle’s latest cloud-native data and analytics technologies both internally and in the wider market
  • Feeling empowered to take the initiative, learn more, across a range of technologies and share your knowledge with others
