Consumer, Products, Retail and Distribution (CPRD)

Public Sector (PS)


The Public Sector Market Unit supports the UK Government and arm’s length bodies to harness the potential of digital, data, and technology. We deliver positive societal outcomes and mission oriented innovation through citizen centric design and technology. Our remit spans Health, Public Security, Central Government, Local Government, and Tax & Welfare.


Energy, Transitions and Utilities (ET&U)


The ET&U Market Unit spans five key sectors: Water, Energy Networks, Energy Retail, Oil & Gas, and Nuclear, alongside a growing focus on Renewables.
We support traditional and emerging energy needs by driving digital transformation, enhancing customer experience, and enabling end to end energy transition solutions across electricity, gas, and low carbon technologies.


Manufacturing, Automotive and Life Sciences (MALS)


The MALS Market Unit is a fast growing team operating where digital meets engineering across Manufacturing, Automotive, Aerospace & Defence, and Life Sciences - designing intelligent factories, accelerating the mobility energy transition, strengthening critical national capability, and improving patient outcomes. From digital twins and smart factories to cloud modernisation, data & AI, and secure engineering, you’ll turn cutting edge technologies into real world results for UK communities and supply chains. You’ll learn from cross disciplinary experts and work with leading UK organisations and innovators.
 
These market facing teams are primarily composed of Client Managers who own the client relationship and are accountable for sales performance. Our Client Managers work as trusted advisors and, together with our clients, address complex business issues while driving innovation to meet client needs. Internally, they collaborate closely with delivery teams and partners to create and deliver leading edge business and technology solutions that drive results and delight our clients.
 
Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.
If you are successfully offered this position, you will go through a series of pre-employment checks including identity, nationality (single or dual) and immigration status, employment history going back 5 continuous years, and a basic criminal history check (DBS in England/Wales, Disclosure Scotland, or Access NI in Northern Ireland).   
If you have been resident overseas for significant periods of time (6 months or more) in the last 5 years on a temporary or permanent basis,  there will also be a requirement for an international police/court record check. 

Your role

We are looking for people who love building strong client relationships and who naturally inspire trust. You will have responsibility from Day 1, working alongside experts from different disciplines, and you will need to thrive in a fast paced, changing environment. You will be stretched, but equally trusted, and supported by the wider team to ensure your success.


You will begin by developing an understanding of how Capgemini works with clients to deliver positive outcomes to their challenges. As you grow, you will build a broad base of knowledge across sales, technology, delivery, commercial, and financial areas. You will be expected to use your own initiative and drive to deliver successful results, and - of course - teamwork will be crucial to your success.


At the appropriate point in your development, having absorbed the various aspects of the business, you will progress into a full Client Management role. You will take responsibility for your own client contacts as part of a wider account team, or for your own account, and you will be expected to carry a sales target against which you will be measured.
 
You will be involved in a variety of activities focused on winning new business, including:


•    Developing and closing sales opportunities
•    Building and managing your own network of client, internal, supplier, and partner relationships
•    Meeting with client stakeholders to understand their needs
•    Creating Account Plans, including market and competitor analysis
•    Reviewing, analysing, and responding to tenders within Public Sector procurement processes
•    Taking accountability for bid responses, working closely with our resources and delivery teams as they shape solutions
•    Leading Capgemini in contractual, delivery, and commercial situations within your client accounts
•    Managing the CRM pipeline and preparing key month end materials
