Working across a huge spectrum of challenges, you will provide IT consultancy expertise that will transform how our clients conduct their day-to-day business and how they interact with their own customers, streamlining their business processes and enhancing profitability. Understanding how we can support these clients; you will ensure the right apps and technology are in place to exceed their expectations.

 

Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

 

Your role

 

Our Power Platform Technical Consultants play a key role in discovering the goals and objectives of an organisation and leverage Microsoft Power Platform to meet these needs. Working closely with clients, consultants gather insights into user needs, define requirements, and help design solutions that drive real impact. Power Platform Technical Consultants should have a strong desire to learn and stay current with evolving technology. They must be skilled at translating non-technical business needs into clear, actionable requirements and work collaboratively to develop, build and implement these solutions effectively.

 

  • Collaborate within scrum teams to configure and build Power Platform solutions, including Model-Driven Apps, Canvas Apps, Dataverse and Power Automate.

 

  • Participate in Agile practices using tools like Azure DevOps and Jira, assisting in delivering high-quality, client-focused solutions.

 

  • Support workshops, interviews, and observation sessions with Subject Matter Experts and Product Owners, to help define business and functional requirements.

 

  • Assist in writing user stories and contribute to the product backlog, ensuring requirements align with Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) principles.

 

  • Engage in continuous training to deepen your knowledge and practical skills with Microsoft’s latest features and tools.

Your skills and experience

 

  • A bachelor’s degree, a management qualification and/or relevant and practical IT experience.

 

  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for AI and an interest in learning how it can be applied to drive innovative solutions for clients.

 

  • Strong communication and presentation skills - we’ll help you to learn how to confidently engage with clients and how to clearly explain complex and technical ideas.

 

  • Proactive and adaptable, with a collaborative and growth mindset - able to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, adapt to changing requirements, and prioritise project goals and client needs.

 

  • Understanding of low/no-code technology like the Power Platform, with a strong desire to continuously develop your knowledge and skills in emerging tech.

 

  • Willingness to travel for client engagements when needed.

If you are successfully offered this position, you will go through a series of pre-employment checks, including:  identity, nationality (single or dual) or immigration status, employment history going back 3 continuous years, and unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service). 

 

Your security clearance

 

Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS)

 

To be successfully appointed to this role you will need to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks.  

 

There are no nationality or residency restrictions, although if you have resided outside of the UK within the last 3 years, further checks may be required. 

 

There are other criteria and check required for BPSS, and throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality.
