About the Job you are considering:

We are seeking a senior technology leader with a strong background in largescale Banking or Big Tech environments to drive engineering transformation across cloud native platforms and enterprise applications The role will be responsible for modernising software delivery practices improving engineering productivity and embedding AI driven ways of working across the software development lifecycle
The successful candidate will lead the adoption of modern engineering practices that enable teams to move rapidly from idea to production through automation quality engineering and cloud native delivery This includes establishing trunk based development automated CICD pipelines Bluegreen deployments feature flags and engineering standards that eliminate inefficiencies and improve delivery predictability
A key aspect of the role is transforming engineering culture by enabling teams to own the complete software lifecycle from design and development through testing deployment and production support The candidate should be experienced in driving practices such as TDD BDD pair programming code reviews test automation and continuous delivery while fostering a product focused engineering mindset
The role will also lead the adoption of AI assisted development and AI Engineering capabilities This includes leveraging AI tools to accelerate software delivery improve developer productivity and implementing production grade AI solutions with appropriate governance observability security and operational controls

 

Hybrid working:

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead engineering transformation and adoption of modern software delivery practices
  • Build high performing engineering teams focused on developer experience platform engineering and continuous improvement
  • Modernise legacy banking platforms and promote cloud native architectures on AWS
  • Define and deliver enterprise scale AI Engineering and AI in Production capabilities including LLM Ops
  • MLOps patterns Establish AI enabled software development practices using tools such as GitHub Copilot Claude Cursor or equivalent
  • Improve software quality through TDD BDD automated testing and shift left engineering practices
  • Drive CICD automation by using multi fold deployment patterns
