Data Analytics Lead

About the Job you are considering:

We are seeking a dynamic Data Analytics Lead – Vendor Management to own the Business Portfolio in the Vendor Management area driven through data, analytics, and reporting backbone of the Vendor Management Office (VMO), turning spend, performance, and usage data across a multi-vendor IT and Non-IT portfolio into actionable insight for senior stakeholders. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong quantitative/analytical capability and deep procurement and supplier governance domain knowledge. You will leverage this expertise to drive cost optimization, contract compliance, and transformation outcomes across a large, complex supplier ecosystem.

Hybrid working:

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your Role:

  • Analyze spend, usage, and supplier performance data across a large (multi-hundred-million) IT/Non-IT supplier portfolio to identify consolidation, cost-optimization, and value-engineering opportunities.
  • Conduct cloud, licence, and infrastructure usage analysis to uncover in-year and multi-year savings opportunities.
  • Build and maintain KPI-driven dashboards and reporting frameworks (e.g., benefits tracking, NPS/supplier satisfaction analytics) to enable data-backed decision-making.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve VMO governance frameworks, ensuring monthly/quarterly/annual supplier review cadences and contractual compliance.
  • Digitize and automate benefits/savings reporting processes, eliminating manual errors and improving accuracy and auditability.
  • Prepare and present transformation and cost-savings reporting to CIO/C-suite leadership with clear, outcome-based narratives.
  • Partner with Finance, Procurement, and strategic suppliers on annual budget planning and commercial term realignment.
  • Advise senior stakeholders (C-suite / CIO level) on strategic sourcing, transformation, and ESG governance topics, supported by data-driven insight.

Your Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in procurement, vendor/supplier management, or sourcing analytics, ideally within Banking/Financial Services, Manufacturing, or large enterprise environments.
  • Demonstrated track record of using data analytics to deliver measurable cost savings across large, complex vendor portfolios.
  • Experience building or operating a Vendor Management Office (VMO) or equivalent governance function.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience, including advising senior/C-suite leadership.
  • Experience with procurement/ERP/service-management platforms (e.g., SAP Ariba, Ivalua, Coupa, Icertis, ServiceNow, Oracle PeopleSoft) and standard reporting/analytics tools.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
  • Professional procurement/supply chain certification (e.g., CIPS) preferred.
