ob Title: Core Banking Solution Architect

We are seeking a highly experienced Core Banking Solution Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable, resilient, and secure technology solutions for complex current account journeys. This role is pivotal in shaping the architecture of our clients core banking programmes, with a focus on loans, savings, current account switching, and payments.

You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across business and technology, own architectural delivery, and guide integration strategies that balance cloud adoption, automation, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture for core banking platforms including loans, savings, current accounts, switching, and payments
• Ensure designs meet scalability, resiliency, security, and regulatory compliance standards
• Collaborate with product owners, project managers, and business analysts to align architecture with business goals and risk controls
• Produce architectural artefacts including privacy, records management, and risk documentation
• Advise business and product teams on technical delivery, innovation, and integration strategies
• Evaluate and integrate vendor products to support systems strategy and automate operational processes
• Drive architectural governance and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards

Skills & Experience

• Deep knowledge of core banking platforms and current account journeys, including loans and account switching.
• Strong understanding of payment schemes, architecture paradigms, cloud technologies, APIs, DevOps, and security.
• Experience in designing and delivering enterprise-scale solutions in regulated financial environments.
• Proficiency in workforce planning tools and reporting platforms:
  • Excel, PowerPoint, JIRA, Tableau, Confluence.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence strategy across business and technology teams.
• Familiarity with project delivery best practices and agile methodologies.
