Your Role

Due to continued growth and increased demand for our service, our Consumer Products and Retail (CPR) team are seeking to add experienced Management Consultants to support the continued expansion in these sectors. 

 

We work with leading Consumer Products and Retail organisations to solve some of their most critical growth and transformation challenges – from end-to-end value chain transformation and large-scale technology implementations to commercial excellence, supply chain and operating model design. Our Consumer Products & Retail business brings together skills and expertise from across the Capgemini Invent capabilities and works closely with other service lines across the Group. We oversee a portfolio which covers some of the biggest household names in the UK across apparel, grocery, household and personal care, health and beauty. 

 

As a Manager / Senior Manager you will play a key role in:

  • Leading the shaping, planning, and delivery of medium and large scale, complex client business transformation initiatives.
  • Being responsible for the management of all aspects of client engagements, including managing budgets, resource profile, billing and contracts.
  • Developing delivery strategies and new offerings through the combination of existing assets or adopting new insights to enhance our change management approach and services.
  • Contributing to the development of internal training pathways to upskill consultants in areas of strategic change management such as technology enabled change, transition change and transformational leadership.
  • Structuring and leading teams on client delivery, and being a mentor/coach to junior team members; enabling capability development and growth of our team

 

In this role you will:

  • Build trusted client relationships in both existing and new accounts
  • Demonstrate sector and sub- sector experience and knowledge, inspiring and advising both our clients and our teams 
  • Be proactive and effective in both selling and delivering strategic and transformative consulting solutions to address our client’s business needs
  • Support the growth and expansion of our team and community

Your Profile

Our most impactful consultants are passionate about Retail/Consumer Products and have a track record of successful delivery in that sector, including experience in a major consulting firm. 

 

We are particularly interested in people who: 

 

  • Bring a clear point of view on where Consumer Products and Retail is heading and are excited about the role technology and AI will play in reshaping it  
  • Have a track record of turning ideas into impact - not just defining strategy, but driving it through to execution through sharp delivery skills 
  • Are comfortable operating in ambiguity, taking ownership and leading from the front in complex environments  
  • Are curious, proactive and commercially minded – with the energy to build relationships, shape opportunities and make things happen 

 

Key Expectations from this role include:

 

  • Previous consulting experience gained at a major Consulting firm, and/or in industry with previous Consulting experience.
  • Proven track record of leading and delivering complex, transformation initiatives across Consumer Products / Retail industries.
  • Significant expertise in strategic change management, stakeholder management and change delivery.
  • Previous experience of building and managing teams to mobilise and manage multiple projects and workstreams.  
  • Deep Retail or Consumer Products sector and sub-sector knowledge and experience. This can be in one particular sector/sub-sector (e.g. Retail, Grocery, Food and Beverage, Household Products, Personal Care etc.) 
  • Deep expertise in at least one core CPR domain, such as: 
    • Commercial (e.g. Portfolio Strategy, Innovation/NPD, Category Strategy, Channel Strategy, Customer Experience, Digital Commerce, Pricing and Promotions, Commercial Data & Insights) 
    • Supply Chain/Operations (e.g. demand planning, S&OP, inventory optimisation, manufacturing and logistics). 
    • Stores and channel operations (e.g. store ops, fulfilment operations, eCommerce) 
  • Experience of building trusted client and stakeholder relationships through delivering measurable outcomes 
  • Driving thought leadership and innovative solutions to take to our client’s which challenge and stretch their thinking in your area of expertise
