Consultant/ Senior Consultant- Tech PM- Technical Lead

YOUR ROLE

The Tech PM Technical Lead is responsible for delivery of technical projects, ensuring technical integrity, governance compliance, and alignment with client objectives. This role bridges technical implementation and project management, requiring strong expertise in both project delivery and technical knowledge and understanding of technical tools used within project delivery e.g. experience of developing complex Power BI reports, data and analytics experiences across other enterprise tools such as MS PowerApps, MS Power Platform, etc. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering, business intelligence, and transformation delivery, ensuring scalable, secure, and business-aligned analytics solutions.
 
 
In this role you will play a key role in:
 
 
· Project Delivery & Governance
o Manage scope, timelines, and budgets for technical implementations.
o Ensure adherence to Capgemini and client governance frameworks.
o Conduct risk assessments and maintain compliance with security and audit standards.
 
 
· Technical Leadership
o Oversee configuration, customisation, and integration of power Apps and technical modules (Power Query, DAX, and Power BI including custom visuals).
o Guide technical teams on scripting (Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies) and workflow automation.
· Stakeholder Management
o Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
o Facilitate workshops for requirements gathering and solution design.
 
 
· Quality Assurance
o Drive UAT, performance testing, and defect resolution.
o Ensure documentation and knowledge transfer for operational readiness.

· Business Development – Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.

· Learning & development – Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.

YOUR PROFILE

 

  • 5+ years of hands‑on technical project/programme delivery, including PMO and transformation support.
  • Strong experience with Power BI, Power Platform, data modelling, ETL/ELT, and Azure data services.
  • Skilled in dashboard wireframing, visual design, BI governance, DevOps, and delivery workflows.
  • Experienced in Agile/Waterfall project management, budget oversight, RAID, benefits tracking, and leading technical teams.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills across multi‑disciplinary teams.
  • Familiar with AI concepts, ITIL practices, metadata governance, and enterprise‑scale delivery tools (Jira/ADO).
  • Relevant certifications preferred: PRINCE2/PMP, Agile, Power BI/Azure, ITIL.
 
 
 
Optional: 
 
· Currently working in a major Consulting firm, and/or in industry but having a Consulting background. Proven ability to be successful in a matrixed organisation, and to enlist support and commitment from peers in selling and delivering consulting solutions.
· Experience of proposition building and delivery.
· Business development – utilising a combination of the organisation’s broader pre-existing relationships, company relationships and your own network.
