Our Microsoft Azure DevOps Engineers work on some of the largest Microsoft projects on the market, delivering enterprise scale projects in a wide range of industries. They lead project implementations, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and fit for purpose, all within the Microsoft technology stack. They are subject matter experts and trusted advisors in everything DevOps related and build out a continuous integration process married with a solid release strategy.
While having the ability to upskill our customer’s team members and advise on best practices and strategy to management. They have a passion for DevOps, anchored in Microsoft technologies while being aware of other open-source options to be able to give well rounded and extremely informed advice.

Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.
If you are successfully offered this position, you will go through a series of pre-employment checks, including: Identity, nationality (single or dual) or immigration status, employment history going back 3 continuous years, and unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service)
Your role
• An understanding of the following areas:
o At least one modern programming language: Java/C#/Java Script/Python/Go/Ruby etc as well as scripting languages, PowerShell/Bash.
• Automating the creation and maintenance of complex cloud infrastructure (anything as code), Automation and Configuration Management tools such as Terraform.
• PaaS, Serverless, IaaS inc VMs, Storage, security configuration of Applying of security engineering principles (DevSecOps).
• Source code control repository for Team Foundation Version Control (TFVC) or Git, Azure Services (Application Insights, Azure DevTest Lab, API Management, Web and Mobile Apps, Windows VM etc.).
Your skills and experience
• You have a software engineering mindset, broad understanding of DevOps but with in-depth knowledge and experience of implementations with the Microsoft product stack (Azure/.NET, Dynamics or SharePoint) with special focus in Azure DevOps.
• Full lifecycle experience on programmes using Microsoft Technologies and knowledge of the supporting business processes.
• You have awareness of other CI / CD & build automation tools (Jenkins, Quick Build, TeamCity, GitLab, Octopus Deploy etc.) as well as Container and Container Orchestration tools, e.g., Docker, Kubernetes.
Your security clearance
To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance. To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements. Throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality. Some posts are restricted to sole UK Nationals for security reasons; therefore, you may be asked about your citizenship in the application process.
