Job Title: Business Analyst

Location: Northampton/Knutsford

 

Role Overview

We are looking for a Business Analyst (BA) with strong experience in the Core Banking domain to bridge business needs with technology solutions.

 

Hybrid working:

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

 

Your Role

Key Responsibilities

Requirements & Analysis

  • Interpret business strategies and translate them into functional and non-functional requirements
  • Ensure traceability and continuity of requirements throughout the solution lifecycle
  • Analyze and document current (“as-is”) business and technology processes

 

Solution Design

  • Work closely with business teams to design optimized (“to-be”) processes and solutions
  • Facilitate workshops and discussions to gather and refine requirements
  • Support the development of technology solutions aligned with business objectives

 

Implementation Support

  • Assist in solution design and development
  • Ensure inclusion of:
    • Risk controls
    • Reconciliations
    • Management information requirements

 

Testing & Deployment

  • Support test planning, preparation, and execution for project workstreams
  • Assist with implementation activities, including:
    • User training
    • Documentation

 

Post-Implementation Support

  • Provide post-go-live support
  • Manage operational activities such as risk and control processes
  • Support transition to Business-as-Usual (BAU) teams

 

Your Job

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with stakeholders to document "as-is" and design "to-be" processes
  • Facilitate workshops and discussions with business teams
  • Support solution design and development, ensuring alignment with business goals
  • Incorporate risk controls, reconciliations, and management reporting requirements
  • Assist in test preparation, execution, and validation
  • Support implementation, user training, and documentation
  • Provide post-implementation support and ensure smooth handover to BAU teams

 

Core Competencies

  • Strong understanding of Core banking operations and business processes
  • Excellent stakeholder and customer management skill
  • Ability to bridge business and technical teams effectively
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

 

 

Technical Skills
Familiarity with tools/technologies such as:

  • SAS
  • Hadoop
  • Excel
  • R
  • Java
  • ETL Tools
  • Data Warehousing
