About the Job you are considering:
We are seeking an experienced AI Architect to lead the strategy, architecture, and delivery of enterprise-scale Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI (GenAI), Agentic AI, and Intelligent Data Platform solutions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for defining the enterprise AI architecture vision, establishing governance and standards, and designing scalable, secure, and responsible AI solutions that leverage Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Model Context Protocol (MCP), Agentic Frameworks, Knowledge Graphs, Semantic Layers, Vector Databases, and Cloud AI services.

This role will act as the bridge between Business, Product, Engineering, Data, Security, Risk, and Technology teams to accelerate the adoption of AI-driven capabilities across the enterprise.

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of deep technical expertise, architecture leadership, enterprise consulting experience, and strong stakeholder engagement skills.

Hybrid working:

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your Role:
1. AI Strategy & Enterprise Architecture

• Define and maintain the Enterprise AI Architecture Strategy and Roadmap.
• Develop target-state AI and Intelligent Data Platform architectures aligned to business strategy.
• Establish enterprise architecture principles, standards, patterns, guardrails, and governance frameworks for AI solutions.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and industry trends to recommend strategic adoption opportunities.
• Partner with business and product leadership to identify AI-enabled transformation opportunities.
• Act as the technical authority across AI, GenAI, and Agentic AI initiatives.
• Produce architecture options, decision-support artefacts, and future-state technology roadmaps.

2. Generative AI & Agentic AI Solutions

• Design and implement enterprise GenAI solutions using models such as:
  • OpenAI GPT
  • Azure OpenAI
  • Google Gemini
  • Anthropic Claude
  • Llama
  • Mistral
• Architect Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions for enterprise knowledge retrieval.
• Design Agentic AI and multi-agent frameworks to automate complex business processes.
• Implement Model Context Protocol (MCP) patterns for tool and system integration.
• Define standards for:
  • Prompt Engineering
  • Context Management
  • AI Evaluation
  • Grounding & Retrieval
  • Hallucination Reduction
  • AI Observability
• Lead architecture of AI assistants, copilots, virtual agents, and autonomous workflows.

Your Skills:
Essential

• 10+ years of Technology Architecture experience.
• 5+ years of Enterprise AI, Data, or Solution Architecture experience.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale AI and GenAI platforms.
• Proven experience with:
  • LLMs
  • RAG
  • Agentic AI
  • Semantic Search
  • Knowledge Graphs
  • Vector Databases
• Experience implementing AI solutions on Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture patterns.
• Experience creating architecture roadmaps, governance frameworks, and enterprise standards.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
• Experience delivering AI solutions within regulated enterprise environments.

Desirable

• Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, Healthcare, Telecommunications, or highly regulated industry experience.
• Experience with:
  • Microsoft Copilot
  • Microsoft Copilot Studio
  • Azure AI Foundry
  • Vertex AI
  • Bedrock
  • Databricks AI
  • Snowflake Cortex
• Experience building enterprise AI assistants and autonomous agents.
• Experience with Text-to-SQL and conversational analytics.
• Experience with Knowledge Management and Semantic Layer technologies.
