About the job you’re considering

The work is to both identify and create solutions within the Intelligent Industry (Industry 4.0) banner which is a collection of multiple technologies tailored to deliver improvements in productivity, leadtime, information, IoT technologies, asset management etc. often within several parallel projects and industries. The primary task is to design and develop advanced computer vision solutions that transform visual data into actionable insights. This involves creating scalable architectures, drive the implementation of cutting-edge vision models and manage the team od data scientists for this process , and integrating these solutions into existing systems. The role also includes staying updated on the latest advancements in the field, optimizing models for performance, and providing technical leadership to ensure the successful deployment of vision analytics technologies. Work closley with clients at all times and educating them on the art of the possible. You will also be instrumental in changing the way the work utilising these new tools and techniques.

Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.​

Your role

• Design and develop scalable vision analytics architectures to meet business requirements
• Contribute to a clear Architectural Vision, supporting Capability roadmaps, for development of Solutions in the short, medium and long term
• Lead the implementation of computer vision models and algorithms for image and video analysis
• Provide internal consultation and Integration Systems expertise within this area to support projects
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate vision analytics solutions into existing systems
• Responsible for conducting research and stay updated on the latest advancements in computer vision and AI technologies
• You will also meet directly with clients to demonstrate solutions, answer questions regarding capabilities and requirements and work to resolve issues that arise during the development or product life cycle
• Be the lead Architect & provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members on Vision solutions
• Engage with customers and stakeholders to elicit system needs and constraints
• Derive functional and behavioral aspects of a system
• Produce candidate solution architectures and derive requirements at all levels
• Work with the Bid & Project Manager roles to estimate the cost based on alternative solutions and approaches

Your skills and experience

• Proven experience in designing and implementing computer vision solutions.
• Knowledge of solutions that include tools sets from NVIDIA Jetson, Linux, IDS Peak Cockpit etc..
• Strong knowledge of machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or OpenCV.
• Strong capability in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Familiarity with deep learning techniques and neural network architectures although you will be working with data scientists who will have this knowledge
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Strong experience of performing a solution architecture role within an engineering, OT, manufacturing or telecommunications environment
• Strong knowledge of within Industry 4.0 technologies such as IoT, Historians, SCADA, Edge computing, cyber security, digital twins, digital control towers etc.
• Technically leading complex projects throughout their complete lifecycle from requirements capture to handover and knowledge transfer
• Excellent at troubleshooting
• Experience of working within a large-scale organisations, able to work as part of a team, excellent organisational and time keeping skills, strong written and verbal skills
• Excelling Client facing Skills
